Attachment Methods

The SCR Receptacle and the Pull-In Connector are two methods currently available for the attachment of the SCR FlexJoint® to the hull or substructure of an offshore facility.

Select the Attachment Method you are interested in below:

SCR Receptacle
   • FlexJoint® body is integral to the connection.
   • Must have side access to mate FlexJoint® equipped
     riser to receptacle.
   • Receptacle is adaptable to specific platform
     attachment orientation requirements.

Pull-In Connectors
   • Direct pull-in to an I-Tube with either manual or
     hydraulically actuated secondary locking.
   • The pull-in connector is a dependable coupling method
     in situations where the entry point is below the
     waterline or on the underside of the vessel.
   • Adaptable to specific vessel attachment orientation
     requirements.
   • An internal connection of a catenary riser to an FPSO,
     buoy or other structure presents a unique set of
     concerns. 
   • A variety of connection methods and configurations
     are available to meet the challenge.
