| The RotoLatch™ Subsea Latch System has been selected by Oil States for the Bottom Connector Assembly (BCA). The RotoLatch™ combines the benefits of a self-guiding, self-actuating latching system with the benefits of an integral FlexJoint® tendon bearing to achieve an outstanding, proven connector assembly.
The RotoLatch™ BCA consists of a bull nosed FEC with an extension welded to the tendon and a receptacle welded to an anchor can set in the seabed. Lugs on the free spinning nose of the FEC interact with mating lugs on the interior of the receptacle to lock the two components together. Tension maintains the connection but the RotoLatch™ FEC may be released and re-latched if necessary. |
