The Skagit AED series mooring winch is a single drum unit specifically designed for offshore pipelay and derrick barge operations. The winch is available with horizontal and vertical wire rope lead.
The AED wich is electrically driven through a two-speed gearbox with optional water-cooled disc brake. The winch is furnished with spring-set, air-released band-type drum brakes and air-actuated drum pawl. Optional sheave-type levelwind is available.
Local and remote control system is provided with tension, speed and length readouts and auto start/stop control feature.
