Conventional Drum/Windlass Combination Mooring Units

The Skagit ETW series combination drum/windlass system is specifically designed for deep water mooring of offshore drilling vessels. The combination system is composed of two side-by-side drum/windlass units.

The unit is electrically driven through a two speed gearbox with optional water-cooled disc brake. Each drum/windlass is furnished with a band-type spring-set, air-released band-type brake designed to meet the necessary regulatory agency requirements. Air-actuated pawls are furnished and upon
