This involves selecting the right combination of: • Grout injection systems, including piping for grout injection • Mud-barrier diaphragms to prevent contamination in the annulus • Grout containment products (packers and/or seals)
In general, the primary factors in designing a complete equipment package are water depth, sleeve configuration, and number of pile sleeves. The chart below shows the various combinations of primary and back-up systems for different numbers of pile sleeves and water depths. However, installation requirements, budget constraints, and risk considerations also can play an important role.
