| The TCA combines a dependable hydraulically activated slip tension adjustment system with the proven Oil States tether bearing to create an adjustable pre-tensioning system with the capability to decouple destructive cyclic bending moments between the tendon body and the TLP porch.
The TCA consists of a slip-type clamping mechanism with a hydraulic slip actuation tool. The TCA is mounted on the tendon bearing seated in the Mooring Porch. The required tension is applied by pulling on the Length Adjustment Joint (LAJ) and securing it in place by seating the slips on the serrated body of the LAJ. |
