Oil States Skagit SMATCO was created by the merger of Skagit Products and SMATCO Industries, Inc. The formulation of Oil States Skagit SMATCO unites the unique resources of both companies to design, manufacture and refurbish a complete line of products for the marine and offshore industries.
The Oil State Skagit SMATCO manufacturing facility is strategically positioned on the Intracoastal Waterway in Houma, Louisiana. Using a special 500-ton rail transfer system, equipment can be loaded out by water or land, thereby allowing the customer flexibility, as well as minimal turnaround time and lower transportation and handling costs.
This unique manufacturing plant which encompasses approximately 50 acres and has more than 150,000 square feet of area under roof, contains some of the largest machine tools and overhead cranes on the Gulf, affording Oil States Skagit SMATCO the capability to handle the most difficult of tasks.
